Application Fee

The application fee includes Application Processing Fee, Examination Fee, and Intimation Fee.
Payment Mode: Online only (8 February 2026 to 24 February 2026).
Fee once paid will not be refunded or adjusted for any other examination.

Age Limit

As on 1 January 2026:

• Minimum Age: 20 Years

• Maximum Age: 28 Years

• Born not earlier than 2 January 1998 and not later than 1 January 2006

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years

• OBC: 3 years

• PwBD: 10 years

For widows/divorced/separated women (not remarried):

• General/EWS: Up to 35 years

• OBC: Up to 38 years

• SC/ST: Up to 40 years

For applicants under NAPS: Maximum age cannot exceed 34 years as on 1 January 2026.

State-wise Vacancy Distribution

The 5138 vacancies are distributed across various States and Union Territories including:

• Delhi – 417

• Punjab – 462

• Uttar Pradesh – 814

• West Bengal – 532

• Bihar – 310

• Haryana – 348

• Rajasthan – 363

• Other States/UTs – Remaining seats

Vacancies are categorized under SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and UR.
Reservation is also available for PwBD under VI, HI, OH, and ID categories.

Educational Qualification

• Graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized University/College/Institute

• Qualification result must be declared on or before 31 December 2025

For NATS registered candidates:
Graduation passing date should not be more than four years preceding 1 January 2026.

Language Proficiency

Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the local language of the State/UT applied for.

Important Restrictions

• Candidates who previously underwent apprenticeship in PNB or any organization are not eligible.

• Candidates currently undergoing apprenticeship training are not eligible.

• Candidates having one year or more job/training experience after graduation are not eligible.

• Candidates terminated earlier from apprenticeship training due to misconduct are not eligible.

Monthly Stipend

Stipend will be paid monthly after adjusting unauthorized absence.
No additional allowances or benefits are admissible.
PF, ESI, Bonus and other labour law provisions are not applicable.

Selection Process

The selection consists of four stages:

1. Online Written Test

• Objective Type (MCQs)

• Total Marks: 100

• Duration: 60 Minutes

• Language: English & Hindi

• No minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects

• Minimum aggregate marks as decided by bank

• 5% relaxation in aggregate for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD

2. Document Verification

Qualified candidates will be called for document verification in their respective State/UT.
Candidates must appear at their own expense with original and self-attested copies of required documents.

3. Test of Local Language

Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the State applied.

• Candidates producing 10th/12th mark sheet proving local language study are exempted.

• Others must qualify the language test.

• Failure will result in non-engagement.

4. Medical Examination

Candidates must be declared medically fit as per bank standards.
Medical fitness certificate must be issued by a registered MBBS doctor at candidate’s expense.

3. Click on “Apprenticeship Application Form”

4. Fill personal and educational details

5. Upload required documents:

   • Aadhaar Card (front & back)

   • Passport size photograph

   • Graduation mark sheet/degree certificate

   • Caste certificate (if applicable)

   • PwBD certificate (if applicable)

   • PAN Card

6. Provide NAPS Apprentice Code Number and NATS Enrollment Number (if available)

7. Pay application fee online

8. Submit form before 24 February 2026

Additional Mandatory Registration Steps

• Register on NAPS Portal (https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in) as “Candidate”

• If graduation passed on/after 1 January 2022, also register on NATS Portal (https://nats.education.gov.in) as “Student”

• Update NAPS/NATS details on https://beep.bfsissc.com

• Keep registered email ID and mobile number active
