Note: Mumbai includes 23 vacancies for Belapur and 2 for Panaji. Guwahati office includes vacancies for Agartala (2), Aizawl (1), Imphal (2), and Shillong (3).

Pay Scale / Salary

• ₹29,000 – ₹78,640 per month (Basic Pay)

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must satisfy age and educational qualifications.

• Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state/office applied for (tested through Language Proficiency Test).

• Knowledge of word processing on PC is required.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate marks.

• Pass class marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates.

• Degree must be from a recognized university.

Age Limit

• Minimum Age: 20 years

• Maximum Age: 28 years

• Age to be calculated as on 1 February 2026.

• Candidates must have been born between 2 February 1998 and 1 February 2006 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation

• SC/ST: 5 years (up to 33 years)

• OBC: 3 years (up to 31 years)

• PwBD: 10 to 15 years depending on category

• Ex-Servicemen: Service period plus 3 years (maximum 50 years)

• Cumulative age relaxation is not permitted.

• Fee is non-refundable.

• Payment Mode: Debit Card (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Mobile Wallet.

Main Examination

• Negative Marking: 1/4th of the marks allotted to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

• Candidates must qualify in each section separately.

• Except English Language, the exam will be available in English, Hindi, and regional languages depending on office.

• For Guwahati office: English, Hindi, Assamese, Manipuri, and Bengali.

Final Selection / Merit List Rules

• Candidates must qualify in Preliminary and Main examinations.

• Language Proficiency Test is mandatory.

• Final selection subject to meeting all eligibility conditions.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official RBI website.

2. Click on “Recruitment for the Post of Assistant – Panel Year 2025”.

3. Register using basic details and generate Registration Number and Password.

4. Log in and complete the application form.

5. Upload photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per specifications.

6. Preview and complete registration.

7. Pay the application fee online.

8. Submit the application and take printout of e-Receipt and application form.

Important Instructions

• Applications are accepted only through online mode.

• Candidates can apply for only one office.

• Exam centre must be within the same state as the office applied.

• If multiple registrations are made, only the last completed registration will be considered.

• After closure of application window, a 2-day edit window will be provided for limited corrections on payment of ₹200 (inclusive of GST). Dates will be notified separately.
